Full Moon in Taurus Interpretation & Tips for Each Sign
Radical self-care or erratic indulgence?
On Friday, November 15, there is a full moon in the sign of Taurus. At the time of the full moon, the Moon itself is right next to the planet Uranus with all its wildness, and in a harmonious relationship to Pluto, the planet that offers the opportunity for deep self-discovery and transformation.
The sign of Taurus is one of the more (if not most) indulgent signs of the Zodiac. It is an earth sign that is ruled by the ultra feminine Venus, the combination of which creates a strong vibe of sensuality. It is also what is called a “fixed” sign (the others being Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius). Fixed signs are fiercely loyal and steadfast, but they can also be extremely stubborn and in need of assurance of their value.
As the Moon indicates the emotional and unconscious realms, as well as our deepest needs, when it is in Taurus it can bring an intense desire for materially pleasurable things that may bring us comfort — the richest chocolate, the softest blanket, the cheesiest macaroni and cheese… you get the idea.
All of these things bring us momentary pleasure, and are emblems of self-care. They are enjoyable and an incredible part of this earthly experience! Rarely, however, do they satiate us for more than a few moments, or that deeper longing for which the indulgences are necessary at all.
As I wrote before, the Moon on November 15 is cuddling up to the planet Uranus. Uranus is a planet that is associated with lightning bolt inspiration and swift and radical change. It is also associated with energy that is erratic and problematically unpredictable. The energy of this planet as it plays with the energy of the Moon could manifest as seismic shifts in how we try to meet our inner needs, or it could play out through a drama in which we are engaging in irresponsible behaviors in order to feel dopamine in one quick hit after another.
Pluto is a planet of immense power that rules the unconscious mind, and as it is in strong relationship to this Moon/Uranus conjunction, it will make whichever way we choose to get our needs met much more intense.
So, will it be radical and revolutionary styles of self-care, or a series of erratic — and possibly dangerous — indulgence?
None of the above is to say that we shouldn’t indulge in what the material world has to offer us. I’m simply suggesting that we
do a little work to tend to caring for ourselves in ways that bring us momentary joy as well as lasting fulfillment.
Eat the cookie and eat the leafy greens.
Take the bath and think or write about things that make you feel whole.
Lounge in bed and get out into nature.
Have the most sensual sex and cultivate intellectual connection.
This lived experience is a combination of the outer and the inner. Let the effort of fulfilling your desires include both.
